Supporting Juneteenth: A Fashion Statement for the Culture with Support Black Colleges

There are so many Black brands in fashion that are more than worthy of your support. This Juneteenth we are also reminded of the institutions built by African Americans, especially HBCUs.  As more and more Black athletes are deciding to attend historically Black colleges and universities and as we witness more former professional athletes decide to coach at HBCUs, it is of equal importance for there to be support for HBCU’s in our day-to-day living.  A brand that participates in visual storytelling through fashion and economically supports historically Black colleges and universities is the Support Black Colleges brand.  Their apparel-distinctive in its red, green, and Black Pan-African colors included in the logo- has been wore by celebrities like Teyana Taylor and Chris Paul.  Aside from their distinctively supportive HBCU apparel, SBC is also worthy of recognition and patronage because the brand supports college students; according to SBC,“Each year the SBC team employs over 70 college ambassadors & gives thousands of dollars in scholarships”.  So, if you want to show your celebration of Juneteenth, rep your school, or show and help provide support for Black college students, head over to Support Black Colleges and make an amazing and conscious fashion decision not just for you but for the culture!
