Wedding hairstyle check, dress check, spouse check, bridesmaids check, venue check- Issa Rae had all the necessities for her wedding this past weekend. Four hours ago, Issa Rae posted photos on Instagram of her wedding to Louis Diame.
The couple’s engagement became public knowledge in 2019 during the NAACP image awards and they were wedded over the weekend in the South of France. While many details have yet to be shared, Issa’s IG caption gave fans an alphabetized list of the ingredients for her low key yet high key (regarding a lovely venue, dress, etc.) wedding, it comedically read “A) Impromptu photo shoot in a custom @verwanggang dress. B) My girls came to help me, but they all coincidentally had on the same dress! C.). Then I took a few flicks with Somebody’s Husband”. What Issa’s nuptials go to show is that there is possibility for happiness without immediate public broadcast and there is no “posting” or “sharing” requirement of intimate moments, even for public figures.
